Ministry

Adults

Temple Baptist Church seeks to be a community where all people can grow spiritually and share the love of Jesus through word and deed. Adults of all ages can find opportunities to study the Bible, serve in the community, or be a missionary to the world. Temple is also a community where you can find love and encouragement that reveals the presence of the living Christ in our lives.

Visit a Sunday School class

We have adult Sunday School classes that span the generations. While many people think of Sunday School as a place for Bible study, our Sunday School classes also provide an intimate community of fellowship, support and prayer for individuals and families in their times of need and times of joy.

Sparks Children’s Ministry

Sparks Children’s Ministry is for children from Pre-School age through 5th Grade.

This ministry allows girls and boys to grow in faith and participate in service to their community and to the larger world. We provide weekly activities to help children learn about God and His love at an age-appropriate level. We also have an active children’s music program that not only teaches the fundamentals of music but also prepares them to be worship leaders in the church.

Temple Vacation Bible School is an exciting week every summer when children come together for games, crafts, food, and great stories. There are movie nights and special trips throughout the year that encourage children to build relationships with one another that we hope will be a blessing for a lifetime.

We believe that the home is where the most important spiritual formation takes place, and so we also seek to encourage and empower parents and families to be the guides in their children’s daily walk of the Christian life. We invite you and your family to come be a part of a new day in children’s ministry at Temple!

Ignite Youth Ministry

The Ignite Youth Ministry is for 6th-12th graders. We offer opportunities for worship, fellowship, and service throughout the year.

We include our youth in Sunday services, where they participate in Scripture reading, prayer, music, ushering, and assisting with audio/visual productions. We celebrate our youth by giving them full responsibility for our Sunday worship service each year. Our youth gather on Sunday evenings for fellowship, and music rehearsals. On Wednesday nights, we meet for Bible Study.

Each summer, the youth dedicate a week to engage in direct missions and service. Prior destinations have included Charlotte, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, and Quebec.

Another summer highlight for our youth is attending Passport Summer Camp, where they fellowship with hundreds of other Church youth groups to further develop their spiritual formation, make new acquaintances, perform mission work in the local area, and attend Bible Study.
