What’s happening at Temple Baptist Church.
Noon Ash Wednesday Service
Temple Baptist Church will observe Ash Wednesday with two brief worship services marking the beginning of the Lenten season. Ash Wednesday is a time set apart for reflection, prayer, and humility as we remember our need for God’s grace and prepare our hearts for Easter.
Both services will be held in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, February 18. One service begins at noon, and a second identical service will be offered at 6:30pm to provide flexibility for different schedules. Each service will last approximately thirty minutes.
The service includes Scripture readings, prayer, and the imposition of ashes for those who wish to participate. This is a simple, meaningful gathering designed to be accessible and welcoming.
All are invited to attend either service. Guests and community members are warmly welcome.

Easter Cantata
Temple Baptist Church will present Amazing Love! as part of our Palm Sunday worship service at 11am. This Easter cantata reflects on the extraordinary love of Jesus Christ and His journey to the cross through music and scripturally based narration.
With music by Lloyd Larson and Joel Raney and orchestration by Ed Hogan, Amazing Love! blends original compositions with familiar melodies in dramatic and compelling ways. The work is written for SATB choir and piano, with optional full orchestra, creating a rich and expressive worship experience.
As Jesus approached the end of His life, many questioned His message. This cantata walks listeners through the final hours of Christ’s life, inviting reflection on His sacrifice and the depth of His love. Especially suited for Lent and Holy Week, Amazing Love! is designed to engage both congregation and performers in meaningful Easter worship.
All are welcome to join Temple Baptist Church for worship at 11am on Palm Sunday.

Christmas Cantata
Get ready for a special morning of worship! On Sunday, December 14, our choir will share this year’s Christmas cantata, “Love Came Down at Christmas” by Joel Raney during our regular worship service. This moving musical celebration highlights the hope, peace, joy, and love we find in the story of Christ’s birth, blending beloved carols with inspiring new arrangements. It’s the perfect way to enter the heart of the season. We encourage you to invite friends and family to experience the beauty and wonder of God’s love revealed in Jesus.
A luncheon will be prepared by the Fellowship Team in the Fellowship Hall after the cantata, so bring your appetite!
