You Are All Saints
In his sermon, Pastor Randy reminded the congregation that being a saint isn’t about perfection or performance. It’s not something earned by good behavior or impressive faith—it’s a gift of grace. A saint, he explained, is simply someone who has been sanctified: made holy, cleansed, forgiven, and set free through Jesus Christ.
When Jesus told the woman in Luke 7, “Your sins are forgiven,” He wasn’t only speaking about her past—He was declaring her new identity and future. In that moment, she became a saint, not because she deserved it, but because grace defined her that way. The same is true for all who are in Christ. As Paul wrote, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Pastor Randy emphasized that we are both saints and becoming saints. God’s work in each of us is ongoing, shaping us into the people we are already declared to be. Like a green tomato ripening on the vine, believers are growing into the fullness of God’s vision for their lives.
When life wears us down, we can rest in the truth that we are saints—beloved, forgiven, and free. And when pride takes root, we remember that we are still becoming saints—still learning, still growing, and still covered by grace. Both truths hold together. And by God’s grace, both are beautiful.
